Kenny Baxter's "Turntable" has now been in existance for over four decades since the emergence of Jazz/Funk fusion.
Kenny Baxter started playing at "The Top Alex" Southend in 1968. At this time the music was mainly swing and featured guests such as Digby Fairweather, Harry Beckett, Henry Louther, Ronnie Scott, Joe Harriett, Tubby Hayes, Kathy Stobart and of course vocalist Toni Baxter.
In 1970 with the growing popularity of Jazz/Funk fusion, "Turntable" was formed to cater for this demand.
